Inspired by the love story of Hinepukohurangi the mist maiden and Uenuku, her beloved human.

Hinepukohurangi fled back to her home in the sky after being tricked by her beloved Uenuku.

Uenuku searched forever for the woman of the mist until the day he died when finally he found her...for when he died he became the rainbow - the rainbow that accompanies the mist.
